19th GREEK CHESS SOLVING CHAMPIONSHIP
CHALKIDA, SUNDAY 12 APRIL 2020
The Chess Academy of Chalkida “Palamedes of Evia” announces the 19th Greek Chess Solving Championship.
The competition will take place on Sunday 12th April 2020 at 11.00 a.m. in Chalkida (the picturesque capital of Evia, 75 Km from Athens) at the Building of the Regional Prefecture of Evia.
The competition consists of two rounds of 90 minutes each. In each round there will be six problems as follows: #2, #3, #N, Study, H#, S#.
The problems will be chosen by Ioannis Garoufalidis who will also be the director and judge of the competition.
Winners will be awarded cups and medals. Symbolic money prizes will also be awarded as follows: 1st place 100 euros, 2nd place 80 euros, 1st Greek Solver 70 euros.
World Solving Cup 2019/2020 (WSC):
The championship is part of the World Solving Cup 2019/2020 (WSC)
Conditions to foreign solvers:
To a limited number of foreign solvers the organization committee of the championship will offer hosting conditions as follows:
- Bed and breakfast for 2 nights in a hotel, in double room.
- One free of charge meal.
- Travel expenses from/to the Athens airport to/from to Chalkida (urban railway or bus).
